Best of luck to all Long Mynd Hikers

Final week of preparation for this year's hike. If I'm honest I haven't done anything like the training as previous years, but hoping that willpower and stubbornness will get me round. Nice 20-mile walk on Saturday in great conditions which hopefully will continue through to next weekend.

We've had lots of page views in past month or so and I hope that the early blog reports on training walks has been helpful for those attempting their first hike. All the best for Saturday, let's hope for a clear night and a bit of moonlight to guide us on our way.

Junior Staff winner missing this year

Should really have posted his earlier. Here is the proud winner of the Long Mynd Hike 2013 Junior Staff, Francis Rooney. Unfortunately he won't be able to defend his title this year, too busy at fresher's events at Sheffield.
